World-class instruction, incredible Adirondack beauty...
To register for a program A deposit will be required at the time of registration. This deposit is applied to the cost of the program. Payment of the balance due is required 60 days prior to the start of the program.
API considers the registration cancelled if full payment has not been received by 60 days prior to the program start date. We suggest that you register as early as possible, as all of our programs have limited space available and many fill quickly.
We accept payment by check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).
Note - Registrations received within 60 days of the start of the program require immediate full payment.
If a program becomes filled, we maintain a waiting list in case of cancellations. We recommend that you put your name on the waiting list as cancellations do happen and, due to the popularity of some programs, it may be the only way to acquire a space.
You must call us at (216) 531-2155. We do not have online registration at this time.
Refunds are given under the following conditions:
There are no refunds given under any circumstances if:
API is not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of a program cancellation. This includes deposits paid to lodging providers, who may have their own cancellation policies. For this reason we recommend trip insurance.
It is very important to reserve lodging as quickly as possible after registering for a program as accommodations in most of our program locations can become quite scarce as the program date approaches.
Meals
In most cases participants are responsible for the cost of their meals during the program. We encourage program participants to eat as a group (with the instructor), sharing the events of the day and getting to know each other a little better, as we believe this makes for a more enjoyable and productive experience. With this in mind, we choose program locations that offer on-site meal facilities wherever practical. If there is a meal plan available at additional cost for your program, we highly recommend that you take advantage of it.
Transportation
Participants’ vehicles are used for transportation during field trips. We will carpool when possible to minimize the number of vehicles needed for any given field trip, as well as to lessen our impact on easily damaged roads and trails.
Note that our instructors are not allowed to provide transportation
to participants during our events.
Spouses and Partners
Field trips and classroom sessions (including lectures, presentations, critiques, etc.) are for paid program participants only and are not open to any guests. However, spouses/partners are welcome to take meals with the group. Just inform the restaurant or workshop venue on arrival that there will be an extra guest for meals and pay at that time.
