What are the Institute’s
office hours?
Monday thru Friday, 9AM
to 5PM, Eastern time
How do I contact the
Institute?
See
the
Contact Us page of
this website.
Why do
you insist on an email
address when I try to
add my name to your
mailing list?
At
this time, other than
mailings related to
workshop registration,
all of our
communication with our
mailing list takes place
via email. The situation
will stay this way for
the foreseeable future
as a major factor in our
ability to keep our
workshop costs down is
our reluctance to
generate expensive
printed material and do
postal mailings.
I wish there were
workshops taking place
closer to my area. How
can I make this happen?
We are always looking to
expand our workshop
offerings into new
areas. If you know of a
venue that you think
would be a good place to
hold a workshop, please
contact us. We'd be
excited to look into the
possibility.
How do I register for
one of your workshops?
See the
Registration page on
this website.
What if I want to bring
my spouse (or partner)
along?
Spouses/partners are
welcome to take meals
with the group and may,
with permission of the
instructor, go along on
selected field trips as
long as they don't do
any shooting. Classroom
sessions (including
lectures, presentations,
critiques, etc.) are not
open to any guests.
When is the new workshop
schedule released?
The
full workshop schedule
is released near the
beginning
of each calendar year.
Sometimes we add
workshops during the
year and will do a
mailing then also.
Are your workshops for
digital camera users
only?
No.
Unless the workshop
description specifies
that the workshop is
intended for digital
users film users should
have no problems taking
the workshop. We’d be
happy to answer any
specific questions you
may have about the
suitability of one of
our workshops to your
interests.
Will I receive any more
information after
registering?
Yes, you will receive a
confirmation letter by
mail, along with an
invoice if there is a
remaining balance that
must be paid.
The
rest of the information
concerning the workshop
is contained in the
Registration Info
Packet. This
packet is available for
download in PDF format
from the web page
associated with the
specific workshop.
How can I pay for my
workshop?
You
may pay by major credit
card or check. Checks
must be made out to ‘Adirondack
Photography Institute’
and mailed to the

Contact Us page of
this website.
If
you decide to pay your
deposit by check we will

for 10 days pending
arrival of your check.
If we have not received
your check within this
time we will remove your
name from the
registration list until
your check arrives.
You may pay by credit
card by either

using
PayPal. To use
PayPal simply go to
www.paypal.com,
click 'Send Money' and
follow the directions.
You will send money to
billing@adkpi.org.
The
workshop I'm interested
in is full. What can I
do?
Always put your name on
the waiting list.
Cancellations do happen
and sometimes the
waiting list is the only
way you'll ever get into
certain workshops.
What airports
are the most convenient
for coming to the
Adirondacks?
Syracuse Hancock
International (SYR) and
Albany International
(ALB) are the airports
nearest to the
Adirondacks.
The workshop
that I'm interested in
takes place at The Woods
Inn Conference Center,
yet the suggested
lodging is Deer Meadows.
Why is this?
The Woods Inn is a very
popular spot for
weddings and other
events. The conference
center is in a separate
building on the
property. When the
hotel-proper has been
reserved for an event we
need to obtain lodging
somewhere else near by.
Lodging Information
Are
there other
options for
lodging in
addition to the
recommended
accommodations
shown on the
workshop pages?
Yes, see our alternate
lodging page
here. |
