Brenda Tharp

 

Brenda Tharp is a professional photographer, writer, and an acclaimed workshop leader. Her award-winning photographs have been used by a wide variety of magazines, books, ads and brochures, for clients that include British Gas, Chronicle Books, Michelin Travel Guides, National Geographic, National Park Service, The Sierra Club, and Time, Inc. Her images are also regularly published in national calendars and greeting cards. Her books include Marin Headlands: Portals of Time, Muir Woods: Redwood Refuge, and her own how-to book, Creative Nature and Outdoor Photography. She was featured on Canon’s television series “Photo Safaris” and has often appeared on local television with photo tips for listeners.

She has presented inspirational programs to thousands of people across the country, and also leads international tours and workshops. Brenda brings to her workshops an untiring energy for sharing her knowledge, and a passion for sharing in the joy of photography and creative expression.
