David H. Wells

 

David H. Wells is a freelance photographer focusing on in-depth photo-essays for exhibition and publication. His photographs have been shown in over fifty exhibitions and published in hundreds of magazines across the United States and around the world. David has received numerous grants and fellowships from such organizations as the Fulbright commission, Nikon, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the MacArthur Foundation's Program of Research and Writing on International Peace and Cooperation. His work has been published as portfolios in American Photographer, Camera and Darkroom, Camera Arts and Zoom among others. He has been an Artist-in Residence at the Vermont Studio Center, the Visual Studies Workshop and the Light Works Photography Center. In addition to his work with the Adirondack Photography Institute, David has taught classes at the University of Pennsylvania, Syracuse University, and the University of the Arts as well as workshops at the International Center for Photography in New York City and the Maine Photographic Workshops.
