  The North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) has updated their website with details of the upcoming New York Regional Event, which is hosted by API and will take place September 18-21 in Inlet, NY. Click here to learn more about this exciting event.

  Beginning in 2008, the Institute will offer discounts on workshop registration costs to employees and members of selected Adirondack organizations that promote the arts and other cultural activities.

  Beginning this year, API and The Woods Inn will team-up to offer workshop opportunities in the arts that take advantage of the newly constructed Woods Inn Conference Center, located on Fourth Lake in Inlet, NY. Look for coming announcements.
   
3/19/07 API to sponsor Adirondack Life Annual Photo Contest
  The Institute will donate a coupon redeemable for the full cost of registration for the workshop of your choice, to be given as one of the prizes for Adirondack Life Magazine's Annual Photo Contest. See the magazine's website for info about the contest.
   
3/16/07 API Alumnus launches charity project for military
  Alumni Doug Eng made front page news in Jacksonville FL for his Photographers For Freedom project. Eng is encouraging all photographers to seek out military families involved in the war and provide them with an album of family images, one to take and one to keep at home. "Make it a gift from the heart...and you will be rewarded many times over." You can view the project website at www.photographersforfreedom.com which contains a blog, images, and links to the news article and slideshow.

  API has been selected to host a North American Nature Photography Association regional event Sep. 18-21, 2008. This event will be held in Inlet, NY. The venue will be The Woods Inn.

11/6/06 Announcing Alumni and Early-Bird Discounts
  Beginning in 2007, the Institute will offer discounts on workshops for Institute alumni and first-time participants who sign-up before an early-bird deadline. This discount will vary depending on the workshop.
   
11/1/06 Scholarship Program Announced
  Beginning in 2007, the Institute will award an annual scholarship to a qualifying high school or college student. Scholarship winners will be able to attend selected Institute workshops at no cost to themselves. Details will be announced shortly.
   
10/26/05 API Alumnus Receives NY Award
  Congratulations to Michelle Drackett whose image "Seventh Lake Sunrise" has been announced as the Grand Prize winner of the 2005 New York, Of Course Photo Contest!  The image was taken during the 2005 API workshop "An Adirondack Color Experience" with instructor John Radigan.
