Overview |
|
The creative possibilities for photographing the
Adirondack autumn are limitless, as the mountains and
forests explode with color and the waters reflect their
many moods. Come photograph for the sheer joy of
creative expression in the Adirondack’s most spectacular
season. |
|
Join renowned Adirondack photographer Mark Bowie as he
demonstrates many of the exposure and composition
techniques used in his latest book, The Adirondacks:
In Celebration of the Seasons. Weather permitting,
Mark will also lead nighttime field sessions, offering
tips on capturing unique images of this little-explored
facet of the landscape. |
|
The workshop is designed for beginning to intermediate amateur
photographers as a series of prime-time outdoor sessions, giving
participants plenty of intimate, hands-on field instruction.
Indoor classroom sessions — based at the Big Moose Inn, a
16-room former wilderness lodge on Big Moose Lake — will cover
new digital capture techniques that offer photographers more
creative possibilities than ever before. We’ll examine
efficient digital workflow from capture to print: image
downloading and management, RAW file conversion and image
optimization using Lightroom and Photoshop, storage and back-up,
printing, and other innovative ways to present your work. We’ll
also have a fun-filled critiquing session featuring
participants’ work. Please bring up to 15 jpeg images stored on
CD. |
|
Possible field destinations include the Fulton Chain of Lakes,
Moss Lake, Big Moose Lake, Stillwater Reservoir, Bald and
Rondaxe Mountains, and the Pigeon Lake Wilderness. |
