Overview   The workshop will take place in the heart of Vermont during one of the prettiest times in Vermont where David lives and happily photographs. Based on his intimate knowledge of the area (he has done two books on Vermont) the workshop will visit his favorite places at the best times- tumbling streams, hillsides full of wildflowers, quiet lakes, rolling hills, quaint villages and classic New England views.

As a special treat, David will escort the workshop to the beautiful traditional Vermont hill farm that he has been exclusively photographing for several years. Almost a square mile in size the 250 years old farm is a photographers dream with beautiful old barns, wild meadows and woods, an old sugarhouse, miles of stonewalls and pastures lined with colorful sugar maples. Because of David’s relationship with the farmer we will have complete access to photograph whatever strikes our fancy; new calves in the milk barn, the old barn up on the hill, out in the pastures with the yearlings or the many tractors and old tools. We may even get to photograph real farmers doing real farm stuff!

The workshop will include critique sessions and a visit to David’s home and office for photography and digital darkroom help.
