Overview   Nature is the ultimate testament to possibility. Digital imaging technology has tremendous ability to make new expressions possible.
This workshop is about taking your photography to a higher level of expression. The place where nature and heart acknowledge each other's presence. A thoroughly personal place where intimate images are nurtured and grown.
We will visit great shooting locations at a time when the area is awash in vibrant color. While in the field, John will assist participants in expanding their repertoire of expressive techniques through hands-on demonstrations.

Some of the techniques (among many) that will be explored are:

- multiple exposure
- image overlay
- panning
- expressive zoom
- expressive focus
- High Dynamic Range (HDR) imagery

Note - As not all cameras have the same set of advanced features, we will explore these techniques using both in-camera features and by use of post-processing in software such as Photoshop.
As part of the experience, we will take part in group-critique of the weekend's work in a supportive and constructive atmosphere. This exposure to the creative ideas of others is a vital step in the expansion of our own creative base.
Schedule   Weather-permitting, participants will typically shoot for several hours around sunrise and sunset, during the best light of the day.
Afternoons are generally used for presentations, critique and discussions. However, if exceptional lighting conditions present themselves the instructor may opt to shoot during the afternoon also.
Cost   $635 ($250 deposit required)
